***Across a Dark and Wild Sea

Available at Sembach Library (JB COL)

Here’s a simple biography, in picture book format, of Columcille, a monk of old Ireland.  He lived during the Dark Ages and is responsible for preserving many books through that time.  This story is told simply and beautifully.  Instead of being shelved with the picture books, you’ll find it with the biographies.  Worth looking for.
