***Finding Time for Serenity

Every Woman's Book of Days

by Barbara Cawthorne Crafton

Reviewed January 10, 2005.
Ballantine Books, New York, 1994.

I like to have a book of daily meditations to go along with my devotional time.  Since I didn’t have A Year With C. S. Lewis at the start of the year, I turned to this one, which I had read through several years ago (around 1995?).  The author is an Episcopal priest, a wife, a mom, and a grandma.  The meditations and musings aren’t particularly religious, but they are about finding time for serenity.  They make you stop and think for a moment and consider what is truly important in life.  It was nice spending time with this author again this year.
