***A Reason For Hope

in a Time of Tragedy

Reviewed December 31, 2001.
Crossway Books.  2001.  144 pages.

This book is a collection of essays by various Christian authors and pastors, including Max Lucado, Kent Hughes, and Joni Eareckson Tada, about how we can respond to September 11.  It was good to read this after One Nation.  The statements made were thoughtful and moving.  As a Christian myself, I wasn’t surprised by anything that they said, but it was good to have it said.  I especially liked the Bible verses they chose at the beginning of each essay.  This book lifted my spirits sobered by reading One Nation, reminding me that God is still in control, and there is still reason for hope.
