***No Ordinary Lives

by David Johnson

Reviewed August 1, 2002.
Warner Books, 2002.  241 pages.

This is a nice book.  I like the title, because I do believe that there are no ordinary lives and that everyone has a story.

Years ago, reporter David Johnson got the idea of choosing random phone numbers, and reporting the story of whomever answered the phone.  The idea worked.

This book tells the story of his column, many of the stories of people he met, and how those stories affected his own life as he married a second time, bought a farm, and started a family.
