Welcome to my website to support my as-yet-unpublished book, Praying with the Psalmists! Even before the book is published, I hope folks will use these ideas and patterns to write their own psalms.
If you're new to this, start with the Why Psalms page, giving some basics. If you attended one of my workshops on writing your own laments - you may want to go next to the Laments page.
Once you're on the page for a particular type of psalm, you'll see tips about following the patterns in the biblical Psalms to write your own psalms. Then follow the links to examples I've written - and make me extra happy by trying it and posting your own examples in the comments!
Subscribe to my Sondermusings substack to follow my Christian writing and hear about my progress toward getting my book published.

Today I wrote and posted another example psalm. This one's a Wisdom psalm about how life is a vapor - So let's enjoy it!
May God's face shine on you!
