Welcome to my website to support my as-yet-unpublished book, Praying with the Psalmists! Even before the book is published, I hope folks will use these ideas and patterns to write their own psalms.

If you're new to this, start with the Why Psalms page. If you attended one of my workshops on writing your own laments (I'll be at Wild Goose Festival in September!) - you may want to start with the Laments page.

Once you're on the page for a particular type of psalm, you'll see tips about following the patterns in the biblical Psalms to write your own psalms. Then follow the links to examples I've written - and make me extra happy by trying it and posting your own examples in the comments!
